In fairness, Seberanjaya hospital had save my life a year earlier in August 2017,

Do you see a little tin-man sitting on a throne just below the black butterfly? |

This tiny guy is wearing a black turban in this MRI image and has a black jacket over hi left shoulder. The poor tiny guy looks very sad at having invaded my space. The people who designed and built this imaging system have a sense of humour.

With festivities all around, I fell asleep . |

THIS IS how it appeared on instagram the 29th Sept 2018. I just fished out my handphone from my jeans pocket, went into instagram selected the most gory picture; a Just found out from neighbour during an evening walk that he came to know of my condition through my daughters' facebook postings and updates. he's a retired teacher from my children' primary school from which they had graduated more than ten years ago. I chose the picture most likely to make people take a second look, typed a short attention-grabbing headline and before I could consider the implication and consequneces, pressed the share button and inestantly people all over the world knew I had cancer in my brain.Probably not something you want to do unless you are already retired Like me. Could be used against you by your management even though that would be illegal and I doubt i it is legal to disriminate base on medical condition . For sure the insurance company can use it to decline to sell you medical insurance because of prexisting condition. Actually the insurance co will have their own ingenious ways to investigate your health backgtound without relying on self-declaration on social media or the web.I found out only a few days ago that my family actually debated whether I should be told about the tumour in the brain in the brain; e one sister thought I might not be able to handle the news of the discovery of the tumour in my brain. my instagram post made it a redundant-issue.
So, yes, I discovered I had a brain tumour more than 4 weeks ago. but it was completely removed, surgically about 4 weeks ago (ON 4 OCT to be precise. yes, things happened in a whirl of activities. With any kind of cancer, the faster you cam throw it out of your body.the better. Don't let them fester because it is in their nature to transform or mutate into something more aggressive or more dangerous, eventually taking over other vital organs or body-part. for instance, From the brain, the tumour could mestasise and migrate and take over the lungs or just the other parts of the brain; I really don't know anything so excuse me if I display my ignorance here.NOT all tumours behave in the same way. The following link prvoides a good and concise discussion about Syptoms and Signs of brain Tumours. Basically watch out for fatigue, drowiness, lost of control of muscles and limbs, problems with balance (Like my driving skills) nausea, vomitting (which I did not have).
the RUNUP TO THE CHECKUP AND SCAN
For several weeks, perhaps months. my wife had made a big fuss about me sleeping excessively. She would be busy doing chores and ask me to help. I would blissfully walk off and lye down on the bed or couch and just fall asleep. my Daughter Jillian's response was, 'sleep is good what/' while I said "sleeping a slot is normal for me. Once at Tina's apartment we were sitting around the dining table, Tina gently brought up the subject. She knows a lot about cancer and has heard many "experts talk about signs and symptoms of cancer . What she said was that among cncer-suvivors there was a general wisdom and this had been reinforced what she has heard from experts is that a drop in energy levels is an indicator of some kind of cancer manifesting itself in the body and advised that I should go for a checkup. A friend who is a psychio-terapists and trained nurse meanwhile had the opportunity to observe me for several days finally spoke to my wife and said "uncle is not looking good". In the meantime, Jillian had spoken to some doctor friends who suggested a blood test o see if I was anaemic from the massive loss of blood in August last year. we decided to try our luck again at the Seberangjaya hospital emrgency unit because they would already have records and history from my earlier visit more than a year ago when they actually saved my life.http://nosurplus.blogspot.com/2018/07/the-people-who-saved-my-lifehtml.html Unfortunately for me, the blood test did not reveal anything out of the ordinary.. The doctors also did no follow-through with other tests or scans over our complaints of too much sleep. Is there for instance a standard checklist of complaints : e.g. complaint of sleepiness - Check for brain tumour. So, I googled for signs and symptom of brain tumour. And what do you know? Drowsiness is high on the list (usually as the tumour develops and puts pressure on the brain Each inidividual will have different symptoms depending on size of tumour, stage of development and location within the brain. This compilation is a good reference. Fatigue is also reported among some patients Having headaches and drowsiness does not mean you have tumour in the brain. but from my personal experience you should go immediately for an MRI SCAN. At a private hospital it would cost probably RM800-RM900(which is worth it because with Cancers, early detection is always the key to treatment and recovery. . on the way to aloe Loh Guan lye Howpital for the checkup, I was allowed to drive. I nearly drove my wife mad with fear because I kept veering to theleft almost crushing into on-coming cars from the opposite direction. my wife in the front passenger seat was freaking out yelling at me to not keep creeping to the left. I also seemed to have suddenly lost my mental map of the area, I missed a acrucial turning, forcing us on long detour.. My wife was terribly upset. 'THAT's a turning we have taken many times. She wanted to take over the driving but I kept insisting to my wife ''I know the way there". The turning is furtheru up' (I kept insisting). my wifereplied "We have missed the turning and we can't turn back".
Falling asleep at formal dining table.
Yes, I actually I fell asleep at the dining table and could not immediately recall what happened 10 minutes earlier . Apparently there was a lot of merry-making around the table (there was rounds of toasting with red wine and dancing near the dais. I was oblivious to the festivities. Friends around the table were shocked to see me nodding away sitting upright Some of course suspected that I must be suffering from some illness. A few weeks earlier, I had fallen asleep a the wheels. ai woke up with start and in fright when I suddenly work up realising my car had veered off course.I think this public display plus the private observations by the pyshio and advise from Tina convinced my wife That I needed an urgent check-up. I overheard a conservation while dozing off on the coach at Tina's apartment the many concerned buddies had questioned Tina on why she had no warned us about the obvious signs of problem with my health. Tina had to defend herself to the effect that she can only raise the subject so many times without becoming irritating to the other party.
